Forms

East Hampton's Legislative power is vested in a Town Board, which consists of five members. The Supervisor, who is the presiding member and Chief Fiscal Officer, is elected for a term of two years. The four other Councilpersons are elected to four- year terms. Town Board members are elected, and there are no limitations to the number of terms which they may serve.

The Town Board as a whole, serves as the Town's Finance Board, and is responsible for authorizing all material financial transactions, such as operating and capital budgets and bonded debt.

Capital Projects

All Capital Projects will be coordinated through the Supervisor's Office. Board Members and Department Heads will update the Supervisor or coordinate with the Executive Assistant on all Capital Projects and expenditures. This will ensure compliance with the three year capital plan and any amendements which may have to be made.
